Rhino Sanctuary
• $100 – one month’s wage for one fence maintenance man
• $250 – one month’s wage for two armed sanctuary guards
• $500 – one month’s fuel for one sanctuary vehicle and water tanker
• $1,000 – radio telemetry horn implant for one rhino, and one radio collar for a lion
• $2,500 – 450 yards of 9” high electrified sanctuary fence
Hunting Dog Breeding Program
• $100 – one month’s wage for one keeper
• $250 – refurbishment of one 50 yard x 50 yard breeding compound
• $500 – all veterinary drugs needed for one year
• $1,000 – shipping cost for 6 month supply of food for 50 dogs
• $2,500 – tentage for planned reintroduction camp
Outreach Program
• $250 – annual school fees for one student
• $500 – enough cement for classroom refurbishment throughout one school
• $1,000 – expenses, fuel and wages for 8 day safari to visit the 7 secondary schools and village
• officials
• $2,500 – cost of mobile video unit to show agriculture and wildlife movies to schools, or cost of
• shooting and editing one educational movie locally
Kora
• $100 – fuel for tractor engaged in road work for one month
• $250 – one month’s wage for 2 men to maintain and guard George Adamson’s camp, or cost
• of survey by an agronomist for Asako village agricultural development
• $500 – supplemental wage for 2 teachers for 2 months in Asako village
• $1,000 – construction of suitable accommodation for health workers and pump maintenance
• crew in Asako
• $2,500 – two visits by the Flying Doctors to Asako with re-supply of drugs and emergency food
• in drought times; or 25% of the cost of a windmill pump for agriculture
General Running/Machine Shop
• $100 – one month’s wage for one mechanic in charge of plant operations
• $250 – tentage for plant operators on safari to remote areas
• $1,000 – cost to construct one stone outpost building, or 5 comprehensive medical kits for
• operations in the field
• $2,500 – solar and radio equipment for 2 outposts
